About Vanessa: Mental health advocacy and my role as a therapist are core to who I am, and I have spent years of education and work experiences to craft how I show up for others while I have other parts of my identity. I have worked in the social service industry for 5 years, yet learning has been a lifelong journey for me as a student and professional, but also as a friend, romantic partner, and daughter. Daily, I aim to be consistently mindful of how to absorb each experience and maintain balance.

Personal time is often spent baking new pie recipes, watching crime television, reading fiction novels or menus for my next foodie adventure, and browsing for my next getaway destination.

I believe curiosity and hope for change, even if small, is the start of a new path, and it does not need to be walked alone. A free phone consultation can introduce us to get you started, please feel welcome to visit my booking calendar.

About Therapy with Vanessa: Hello! I am Vanessa, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). In my role, I am passionate about working with teens and adults to foster a space that is safe, where self-discovery, healing, self-compassion, and exploration can thrive.

Therapy with me is a zero-judgement zone, where we work to honor your uniqueness and your story. I believe that collaboration and gentle challenging are keys to uncovering and applying one’s values, strengths, and skills to address issues that you hope to resolve. My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I consider various theories to personalize your access to and experience of services. Learning is also a core component of one’s journey with me by one’s side, and learning is flexible to meet your needs for communication skills, coping mechanisms, new perspectives, exploring the inner self, and so much more. Together, creativity and reflection will intertwine to promote emotional expression and understanding.

Daily schedules can be demanding with work, school, family and more, and that can mean less time to work on you. I aim to make my schedule accessible with evening and weekend availability, offering both in-person and online services.

Learning about and being your preferred self is important to recognizing and achieving your needs and goals, it would be my pleasure to support you in making that happen.

About Tavneet: Hi there! I’m Tavneet, a Registered Psychotherapist. I belong to the South Asian community and offer services in English and Punjabi. I became a therapist after witnessing how mental health was approached in my community. Since then, I’ve aspired to create a space for people to talk about difficult things with someone who has similar lived experiences to them.

Outside of therapy, I’m an avid concert goer, an iced latte enthusiast, a sushi lover, and consistent reader.

A quote I live by is that “when one door closes, another door opens”. It may not make sense right away, but it will in time.

About Tavneet: I hold experience in supporting individuals through relational concerns, mood and personality disorders, trauma, and life transitions.

I view therapy as a collaborative approach where we work together to best support you and the relationships in your life. While in individual therapy, you and I will be present in the room, we’ll create space to explore the relationships and connections outside of the room that influence and impact you. In working with you, I hope to create an environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic.

In our work together, you will come to find my approach is rooted in cultural sensitivity, consideration, and collaboration. You hold valuable insights and strengths that can be accessed and paired with resources in therapy to support you in moving towards the version of yourself you’re hoping for. I invite you to connect with me to explore ways for us to create meaningful change in your life!

About Harpreet: Outside of my professional work, I’m someone who believes that life is most fulfilling when we’re constantly growing, exploring, and connecting with others. I’m a social butterfly at heart, and I’m always seeking out new experiences, whether it’s learning Spanish on Duolingo, hitting the volleyball court, or diving into true crime, thriller, and horror genres that intrigue me with their explorations of human behavior.

Growing up in a Punjabi household and community, I’ve developed a deep respect for the richness of cultural traditions and the strength of support systems, which continue to shape who I am today. I love to spend time with friends and family—it’s where I feel energized and keeps me grounded and fulfilled.

That experience taught me invaluable lessons in empathy, communication, and resilience, which I bring into my practice. I have always harboured a deep love for psychology and helping others navigate life’s complexities.

In my practice, empathy and compassion are at the heart of everything I do. I aim to provide a welcoming, warm, and judgement-free space for all my clients. About Alex: Welcome! I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) here at Relationship Therapy Centre.

This is my second career. Before COVID-19, I worked in marketing. However, when COVID-19 hit, I spent some time reflecting on the direction I was headed in my career. After much reflection and meeting with other professionals, I concluded that I wanted to be in the helping industry. I have had my own experiences on the other side of the couch and the tools I have learned have helped me through my own challenges.

I enjoy people and learning from others.. I believe in relationship-building within my life, community, and therapeutic space. Relationships can be vital in people’s lives, bringing joy, sadness, anger, love and wholeness. We spend time learning about people, which can help us learn about ourselves. I speak about relationships as they have become impactful and essential to me and helped in making the decision to change my career and grow as a therapist and individual.

About Therapy with Alex: Welcome. My name is Alex Snyder and I am Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) here at Relationship Therapy Centre. As a therapist, I want to learn about you. Let’s explore your past and present, teach me about your story! My goal as a therapist is to create a space where clients feel safe and comfortable. I aim to build relationships with clients and work with them to create tools they can use daily or when faced with challenging emotions or experiences.

When working with couples, I typically support couples who are about to get married, are newly married, or about to become new parents. Emerging themes in couples therapy include but are not limited to communication difficulties, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and reconnection.

Across my work with individuals, teens and couples, I work from a client-centered approach. However, I do pull from other modalities to create an integrative approach. Some modalities include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialogic therapy, narrative, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. As a therapist, I do not believe a one-size-fits-all model exists. When working with my clients my hopes are to create a therapeutic plan that works for them is essential.

I aim to create a space for learning, sharing, and vulnerability when working with my clients. I know that therapy can be challenging at times; it can be hard to dig into experiences, emotions, and thoughts, but I believe in becoming uncomfortable allows for greater exploration and growth.

About Martha: Psychology has always fascinated me and from a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a helping profession. I find people intriguing – our relationships, behaviours, struggles, and triumphs. My passion is to explore and understand the things that make us who we are and help others as we all navigate the world together.

Outside of being a therapist, I am a plant mom to five cacti and bonsai tree. I enjoy baking (cookies are my favourite!), spending time outdoors (especially kayaking), and trying out new cafes with friends (I love a good iced coffee).

I’ve also recently learned how to crochet and have been working on creating several items to donate to centers that support disadvantaged families and communities. I’m grateful that my hobby lets me relax and be creative, while also helping others!

About Therapy with Martha: Hi and welcome! My name is Martha (she/her) and I’m an Intern Therapist. Taking the first step to reach out for support takes courage – I’m glad you’re here.

In my practice, I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship that is safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental, which will provide us with a strong foundation to explore the challenges you’re facing. I know that opening up can feel scary, so we will go at the pace that you feel most comfortable. I also believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy and we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and find what is most helpful for you. This is your journey, and we will navigate it together to create the changes you’re hoping for in your life.

I am eager to hear your story and explore how your past and present experiences, relationships, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours have shaped the person you are today. About Minomi: Hello, I’m Minomi Subapanditha and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Before finding my passion in connecting with and supporting individuals as a therapist, I worked in the field of Biochemistry for several years.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, be it mundane or highly energetic activities. One of my favourite things to do is to complete (and glue together) 1000-piece fine art jigsaw puzzles with my mom. I practice mindfulness and self-compassion daily to elevate my sense of self.

About Keeshia: Hello and welcome! My name is Keeshia and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. Above all, I am a mother to a wonderful boy who reminds me every day of the importance of mindfulness and gratitude. We love to spend time in nature, go for walks and bike rides, find new books and activities, and watch our favourite Disney movies.

I am also a plant mom! I am spiritual and believe in the energetic connection between everything in our universe, from the plants and the animals, to us humans, to the stars in the sky.

I believe our journeys have a deep spiritual meaning and we are here to learn, grow, and evolve. I value kindness, authenticity, empathy, and vulnerability. I start every morning with a cup of tea, three things I am grateful for, and positive affirmations. I believe our minds are truly powerful and we can overcome any obstacle thrown our way; perspective is everything!

About Therapy with Keeshia: Hello and welcome! My name is a Keeshia and I am glad you’re here. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with individuals of varying ages. I love getting to know your story and how you came to be in your current reality. I hope to explore your past and present, and together we can identify what goals you would like to reach.

I believe there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy, so by getting to know you, we will find the ways in which you are best supported. I know that opening up and being vulnerable can be anxiety-inducing, so I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space so you feel comfortable sharing your journey with me. We will always go at your pace; after all, you are the expert!

I also believe it is a sign of true strength to take a step towards reflecting inwards, so self-compassion is something I always encourage. I believe in the power of mindfulness and will notice your indirect ways of communicating with me as well (i.e., your body language) and together we will identify what’s coming up for you.

We will make connections between experiences, relationships, roles, habits, thoughts, patterns, and behaviours, and identify how you envision your future self. My hope is for you to leave our sessions feeling encouraged, validated, hopeful, and empowered. I would be grateful to be a part of your journey and hope we can connect soon!

About Tharsika: Hi and welcome! My name is Tharsika Tharmasrirajah (she/her) and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). As a South Asian individual who fluently speaks Tamil, I take great pride and embrace my cultural heritage, which has been deeply ingrained in me through the encouragement of my first-generation Tamil-Canadian parents. My upbringing has instilled in me strong South Asian roots, fostering a deep connection to my values, beliefs, and cultural heritage. Through my lived experiences, I have grown closer to my roots, nurturing a profound sensitivity towards the diverse tapestry of my background.

On a personal level, I am on a continuous journey of self-improvement, constantly striving to become the best version of myself. This journey encompasses qualities such as authenticity, compassion, non-judgmental, empathy, respect, open-mindedness, inquisitiveness, and collaboration. These characteristics resonate deeply with my therapist self, guiding me in creating a safe and inclusive space for growth and healing. My passion lies in the profound art of healing, both for myself and others. It is this passion that ignited my path to becoming a therapist. I find immense fulfillment in supporting individuals on their healing journeys, empowering them to overcome challenges and transform their lives.

Beyond my therapeutic work, I possess a deeply introspective and free-spirited nature. I find solace and inspiration in long walks amidst nature’s embrace. Engaging in extracurricular activities and sports fuels my adventurous spirit, while exploring my artistic talents through dance, singing, and music allows for self-expression and personal growth. My inner foodie finds joy in exploring diverse culinary experiences, and attending concerts and summer festivals allows me to immerse myself in the vibrant energy of the world. I cherish new experiences, whether through travel or quality time spent with loved ones. And let’s not forget my unique sense of humor, always ready to lighten the mood and bring laughter to those around me.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am excited to connect, learn, and grow together as we navigate the beautiful intricacies of life and embark on a path of healing and self-discovery.
